There’s just so much they could do, but they can’t change the building. My aunt likes to color, so they bring her things to color and stuff; they are trying. The lobby and elevators always seem OK. Once you get upstairs, my aunt’s room was disgusting. There was stuff smeared on the walls and on the door. There was a big water stain up on the ceiling.

They don’t care about patients at all. Clove Lakes was a very nice nursing home. They took very good care of my mother. I have known quite a few people that were there, and there were no problems.
Alaris Health At Riverton is terrible. You don’t want your loved one to be there. I can’t wait for my father-in-law to get out of there. The TV is breaking down every five minutes.

I did stop by at night and they had bingo. They also have a beauty parlor and a little church. The only thing I didn't really like about it was there were too many different accents. I visited my mother-in-law who was admitted for rehab. The food was inedible so we brought her in food from the outside.
The facility itself is old but it’s clean and everything is well kept. The staff go out of their way to help and have no issues with their dietary plans. The offered a nice meal menu but unlike the hospital you do not get to pick and chose. The food was tasty and fresh and they gave you nice portions. I have to share what a positive experience Clove Lakes provides. Having been on the rehab unit, I can only provide positive feedback.

Half of the social workers are great, and the other half should be working on tugboats instead of in healthcare. I wish I could rate this NO STARS but I had to click on at least one. I offered to meet with the administrator to have a professional conversation regarding what went on with my relative and they never accepted my request. I would not allow a pet hamster to be cared for in this facility. The food was never edible, always cold, and they consistently never dressed my relative in his own clothing. Additionally, they violated state and federal healthcare laws by not allowing the patient or family members to see, view or read any health records.
This is not the place for someone you love or for yourself. Please think twice before using this facility.We need compassion and proper medical treatment, but this is not the place for this. Star ratings are often best used for basic comparisons and when deciding which facilities to visit. However, nothing beats actually visiting the nursing home yourself when possible.
All staff in the building really make an effort to get to know the resident and always greet them with a smile. Overall this facility is great and i would recommend this facility to anyone looking to place a loved one. Right now, my aunt is at Golden Gate Rehab.
